I am first and foremost a grateful believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.  I am also a husband to my wife and best friend, Lenora.  We have four awesome kids who absolutely make life worth living.  After all of the above, when there is time, I am an IT guy.  I have the privilege to go to work everyday doing something I really enjoy.  I once heard someone describe what I do as getting paid to solve puzzles.  I would have to agree – that’s what it feels like most of the time ( at least the technical aspects).  Client management, project management and team leadership just come with the territory and help to keep me, uh… well rounded

I have been working with the databases since 1998, having had my first exposure to Oracle as a DBA/System Admin for an ERP implementation at my college-time employer.  This opportunity kick-started my career and I have been doing database architecture and development ever since.  My career has afforded me the experience of working in a number of industries and with many technologies.  Data warehouse architecture is my primary interest and specialty, although my most recent projects have been custom Rich Internet Applications (RIA) for enterprise clients.  Our core technology stack is Java and Adobe Flex, with database platforms ranging from Oracle, to SQL Server, to PostgreSQL.
